“ I never had Albanian food. The ambience of this place is an amazing, you almost feel like you're not in CT. The service was great and attentive . I had a lamb dish in a roux. We had some tasty apps and fresh hot bread at the table. It's a must try ”
“ Fantastic food, fantastic service, fantastic space. We'll be going back to Cka Ka Qellu to work our way through the entire menu. It's worth it. ”
“ This is a must try hidden gem in Stamford! The venue feels like you are at a friends house for dinner. The menu offers a great selection of traditional Albanian dishes, and everything we tried was flavorful and well-prepared. The lamb and the "byrek" were standout dishes, rich in taste and expertly cooked. Their menu highlights veal in many ways, so be aware if you are not a meat eater, but they do have options for everyone. Their bread was one of the best I've ever had. Service was friendly and attentive. Overall, a great place to try out. ”
“ In laws came to town, which meant we had to show them around to some nice spots they don't have in the south We had previously tried Cka Ka Qellu in the Bronx and now that we moved to Connecticut, it was only fitting to try the Stamford location. The interior was nice and roomy. We got some wine and a bunch of different platters to share. We got the village salad, the baked cheese, Tav Dheu, and the mixed grilled platters with a bottle of wine. Everything was soooo tasty. We left with full stomachs and hearts lol. ”
“ Cka Ka Qellu delivered an incredible dining experience that we're still talking about. Every dish we tried was outstanding, and the attention to detail in both the food and service made it truly memorable. The octopus was the standout dish for us--perfectly cooked with a crunchy exterior and tender, flavorful meat. The meat platter was equally impressive, with perfectly seasoned cuts that showcased the chef's expertise. To finish, we had the baklava, which was absolutely phenomenal--crispy, sweet, and perfectly balanced. What made the experience even better was the manager taking the time to personally check in with us. It's rare to see such genuine engagement, and we really appreciated the thoughtful touch. Cka Ka Qellu is a place where every detail, from the food to the hospitality, is done right. If you're looking for bold flavors and exceptional service, this spot is a must-visit! ”
“ Really special place. Absolutely stunning building made to look like a medieval castle. The waitstaff greeted us and made us feel very welcome. They were helpful to explain the menu to me since this was my first time here. Started off with sausage dip appetizer which came with some magical bread! Next we had the veal dumplings which are soooo delicious. I will be craving this place and will happily drive the 1.5 hours to go back! Lastly we had the Qofte Shari Traditional Albanian ground veal stuffed with kashkaval and kacamak. Truly amazing and unique. Loved the food so much! Had no more room but took a baklava to go! The drinks were made perfectly as well. Run, don't walk! ”
“ Found this lovely Albanian restaurant tucked away. Charming decoration and set up. Very comfortable feeling and ambiance. We ordered the Ayjar roast pepper dip to go with the fresh bread. We ordered the Mediterranean salad and Tava Kosi as well as the Tava Mantia. The yogurt sauce in the Tava Mantia was delicious. The Ayjar was a great spread for the bread and had a sweet and mellow flavor and texture. We had Baklava. Was good but a little too sweet for me. I have to come back again to try other items in the menu. The service was good. They helped with explaining the menu and after checking if everything was Ok we had a great time sampling and catching up. It was nice not to be hurried or pressured. Looking forward to coming back. ”
